Life does not give you the what you want, instead it gives you the ones you need to be a part of your life ,to teach you, to hurt you, to love you to make you the person you should be.These people/incidents in your life make you a better person.Appreciate it and trust me at any point of life when you turn back to retrospect there will be nothing to regret.Life is short in terms of happiness and longer when it comes to learn what life teaches you in its course.So Live for the moment and Plan for the future.Simple!!

Miss Communication :P
The title says it all..or do i need to say more.Thats my title for this quarter :).Self proclaimed,self presented and all myself,I hereby pronounce myself as Miss communication :D.Wondering what is all about...its just about those times and amazing moments when i describe things and situations to people and finally mis-communicate and complicate a situation.Does it sound you..and then probably you deserve the title too :)
Moral of the story : Stay grounded .Just know what you want and talk it out.Simple!!
Its 12:30 AM and I am supposed to be fast asleep..but on track right now is my fave Khamosh raat sehmi hawa ,which is definately a Rahman magic , a unique composition which i can listen almost everyday.Such fine lyrics and who wouldn't love it.
Listening to much more and such more compositions by the Mozart of Madras as he is fondly called by many :)

Mellow down!!
I need to mellow down and probably slow down to things happening around,be patient and take each day as it comes and definately not lose any focus.Its life and truly one's focus gets pulled into all the possible directions and as such there is nothing to get overwhelmed about.In a genuine attempt to maintain a balance in life ,I guess the prerequisite to it would be the perspective, the way we look at things in our daily life,the approach we have does bring in a difference.
Like they say Change is the only thing constant in life,one has to welcome the changes time brings on,accept it humbly(well depends!!) and make it an integral part of life.Something not easy but truly do-able.Take it easy !! is what i say.Worry adds to the worry existing in life and it does simply no good.When one cannot predict the next one hour in his life ,he stands no chance in worrying about the rest of his life .He would rather work on making the next five minutes of his life worth the time.Lots said and done , i would make a better person only when i practice what i preach to others :D seriously true!!
In testing times one should always be Smart rather being stupid!! Thats all.

There is a saying in Telugu...Vankara kallaki anni vankara gaane kanipistayi...I did laugh out loud..the first time i heard it...but so true it is.You are what you think and act,the choices you make,

I am going Nuts now!!!
What the heck yaa...why aren't things picking up?? Its so slow!!! I hate things moving slow when they aren't supposed to.
I need to see a "CHANGE" in my life..some kind of a change...its been more than 3 weeks already..yaa!!! Can't sit like this whiling away my time for no good :(
Must get busy pretty soon!!!.Coming long weekend will be fun for sure..My friend pushhhh is coming all the way from Seattle and we are meeting almost after 3 and a half years...She is too excited to be here for a east coast trip and so am I looking forward to having a fun filled trip.
Be it the potlucks or the assignments...Pushh always finished it well for me lol!!!...well that was college.Lets see if we girlies find each other any different from what we were 3 years back :)
Looking forward to some amazing memories!!

This happened for real !!!
I was on a short trip to India.. the shortest ever i made to the motherland ever since i am here.Its been 3 long years that we family(mom,dad,bro and me) spent the time together..it was a moment.
Like they say its the quality time spent than the quantity of time makes a trip memorable.We had fun time together..we sat together,ate together and spent the whole time together.Life has been on a fast track for the past many years for me and this trip gave me a much needed break to realise that at the end of the day it is the family and family alone which makes a complete difference to ones life.They stand by you for what you are, they love you for what you are..that is something unconditional we get from them.It is treasure.I did observe that as time passes,we need to do a role reversal if i may say..Parents become kids and kids become their parents..sounds sweet and sensible isnt it..??. We need to listen to them as we do all the time but with more attention.
One such incident really made me to re-think about what it takes to give our parents..the due attention they need in life.They must have worked really really hard to make the ends meet,give their children the right education to stand up and make a mark for themselves.It is not easy, its a full time job. Coming to the point..I was on a flight back home.The stopover was Amsterdam.
I reached the terminal and was as much amused/happy to see so many of us flying home.There were aunty ji's and Grannies with their telugu speaking(with a whole dose of accent :P ofcourse) grandchildren .It was good..Some of these old people were really old by which i mean in their eighties and some of them just couldnt speak english.There was this 80+ yr old gentleman who was brought to the terminal by the airport staff.Neither did the person nor the attendent realise that he left the bag on the trolley.The bag had all the documents including the passport.It took a while(more than an hour to be precise) for him to realise what he had done..but he had no idea as to whom he should be asking around..for his bag..there were very few of us at the terminal who could help him out and each of us were trying to get the details from him...He was too tensed to answer anything..All we could do finally is to take him to the information desk and make the airport staff look for his bag..They finally found the bag..and gave it to him..All is well that ends well but that is not it..All the while i was trying to help him...there were several thoughts running in my mind..I wondered how their kids left the old parents to the mercy of those airport attendents...What if he missed the flight and if there was none of us to help him??. Does he have to go through all this ??.This bothered me a lot..for almost a complete day.I had to share this with my folks as well..and that is when i felt better.I literally wanted to meet his children and try putting some sense into their brains(if they had any).
Finally guys i think we should be more responsible in whatever we do..and act sensibly.I know as life moves on..priorities change but when it comes to family..nothing should become a priority over it..absolutely nothing and we should be making a conscious effort in doing it :) I think that is it for now...wanted to blog this for a long time..and finally made it today.

We come across different people in our life..people from different nationalities, race ,religion and much more importantly people who think alike and different.It is fine if we come across people who think alike..no issues but i guess we are supposed to me calm and composed when we meet people who think and act different and at times weird,bossy,stupid,outrageous et al..coz if we dont , we end up doing same things as they do...yes it is true...at the end of the conversation/fight or whatever that goes on in between two people who are not alike.Like I say..

Its Summer!!!
The weather outside was just so wonderful today.Had a short walk out of work place to the Dunkin's nearby to have some cold coffee.It felt so good to come out of the artificially air conditioned workplace to something more real and natural.The summer has set in finally, though had to come home almost drenched in a typical summer rain :).The weathers are so unpredictable here.The most scary part of these summer rains are the thunder storms.Damnn!! they are so loud. You could see a huge lightening tearing through those grey cloudy skies a couple of times before you go home safely :P.
But its fun...once in a while you will atleast get the smell of the wet earth(yes i found it is rare here)
like the one you get in India..hmmm i love that smell...Its beautiful,serene.
Ohh u know what..one of my college friend gave me anti-tanning tips for this summer!!..Gaadd i just came back from india..This is no summer compared to the one i had in India where the sun looks nowhere but straight in your face. Keep it with you gal!! ehhehe

India Shopping!!! I blog
Ahemm!! Prepare a list of stuff i will be shopping in India.....Long list will it be as I am visiting after two loooong years!!!.People create a long list on a paper,or a most sophisticated spreadsheet and I blog!!!. Can it get any better??

Tanned blogging!!!
I know the name of the blog sounds pretty in and summerish...but its definately not about the how to get tanned or has any tips about how to protect oneself from tanning.... Its about color..the complexion,the perception of the people who look at you...who want to look fairer and for what god knows is "whiter/whitier". Offlate I have seen a rise in the so-called skin whitening cosmetics.Now my question is why do we have to use them for what...To look beautiful or better?? why?? how is beauty related to fairness.When one does not know how to carry himself/herself, how on earth does the color he carries on his/her body matter or make a difference??.Or does looking fairer boast someones morale.This question did arise in my mind when a saw an commercial that was being aired on private channel.The wheatish/darker complexioned girl gets a job as soon as she turns fairer/whitier or whatever when she uses one of those Fair/ever/one/ and lovely creams....
Make sense?? does it.This Ad did convey a message that looking fairer gets you a job,gets you married too(A SWE working for MNC looking for fair,slim,beautiful,homely girl...are the adjectives enough??) hehehe...then how come many people who haven't used or did not want to use them got everything they want in life :). This is not a anti-fairness ads blog peace!!, but i did want to question myself is that how would ads like these impact the thought process of a woman who is all set to be herself and out in this world aspiring to be that someone.
Ohh lets not make this blog a gender biased or a mahila mandal blog for there is Fair and Handsome too :P.In my previous blog i mentioned about getting some inspiration to blog on a sunday and looks like i got it!!!.
P.S I might change the name of the blog if i find a better one and might edit it too!!!
